The difference between a writer and an advisor

Most business plan services are writing shops: they polish your words and drop your numbers into a template. We come at it from the other side — as advisors who prepare financial statements, deal with lenders and the CRA, structure corporations, and analyse businesses for a living.

That matters because the reviewers of your plan — credit officers, grant adjudicators, immigration officers — are trained to test the numbers.
